STRESS: Don’t lose balance, change your focus

When things go “wrong” in life it’s so easy to lose focus.  Be it with finances, relationships, school, life’s frustrations, whatever it is, STRESS, can rear its ugly head and throw your entire being off balance.  Stress, among other ailments, causes worry.  Worry is an awful feeling and it can literally take control of your life and send you into a “worst case scenario” mental tail spin.  When nothing is going right sometimes all you need is a little shift in focus.

  • Don’t lose sight of what really matters.  No matter what is happening there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel.  Whatever you choose to focus on is what you’re going to feel.  So focus on the POSITIVE, focus on what truly matters in life (chances are it’s not your material possessions).
  • Focus on what you are grateful for in life.  I don’t believe you can truly appreciate successes in life if you don’t recognize the amazing gifts you already have.
  • Stress comes from the meaning you give those things.  Change the meaning you attach to those stressors.  See it as it is not more than what it is.  Our mind has a way of making a mountain out of a mole hill. Take control of your mental state and start seeing things AS THEY ARE.
Sometimes it’s our little people that remind us that everything is going to be okay.

  • DON’T GIVE UP-life is like a staircase and we all want to reach the top. Some get up there with ease while others struggle to get up one step.  But even a 1% improvement is still improvement!!
  • Help others. When things go bad for us we innately want others to suffer with us.  UPLIFT and meet the needs of others and immediately you become less addicted to your own problems.
  • GET STRONG, TAKE ACTION.  You can deal with any problem as long as you have something to strive for.  Get mentally tough; remember your goals and MAKE IT HAPPEN. With a little grace, optimism and work ethic, stress can turn into success.
Crazy to think this guy, who is homeless living out of his storage unit, helped me remain positive. Who's situation is really more dire? An angel and he's STILL working out! No One has an excuse. This man is RELENTLESS

Tough times are inevitable, that is the nature of life.  How we choose to deal with those situations and how we pull through those tough times all build character and provide a pathway to help others going through similar situations.

Keep Smiling even when you don’t feel like it. Happy people are resilient because they know SADNESS (stress) IS TEMPORARY!
