Self-Discipline NOT for sale!

Recently I had a friend text me asking me if I could wake and then pick her up on the days I do conditioning work, otherwise she just wouldn’t have the desire to get up on her own and do it. The best part is when I said no, (mainly cause that is MY time and I don’t like waiting on people, especially when I’m on a tight schedule and it’s early as shit outside) she had the nerve to say it’d be my fault when she wasn’t “summer” ready.

Excuse me…I’m sorry you are sooooooo damn lazy that you can’t drag your ass out of bed and do something that will benefit you. As a trainer/friend I can inspire, set a good example and motivate you. But what I cannot do is physically drag you outta of bed and give you the “ganas” to do it for yourself. GET YOUR OWN self-discipline cause it’s not for sale.

Rocky had some GANAS-no gym no problem punch some damn meat:

Self-discipline

Wikipedia defines it as the ability to motivate oneself in spite of a negative emotional state. Qualities associated with self-discipline include willpower, hard work, and persistence.
Self-discipline is the product of persisted willpower. Whereas willpower is the strength and ability to carryout a certain task, self-discipline is the ability to do it routinely and even automatically (as if through reflex). Where willpower is the muscle, self-discipline is the structured thought that controls that muscle.

I hear so many excuses why people cannot do something.

1. I have kids-yea well so do I and thousands of other people that still get up and make it happen on a daily basis.
2. I don’t have time-MAKE time…your fat butt found the time to eat all that food so I’m sure you can find the time to exercise.
3. I eat right and exercise and I haven’t changed-STOP lying-unless you have had your thyroid checked chances are you are NOT eating right or exercising the way you should
4. I can’t afford to eat right-well good luck affording those medical bills when your health goes to the crapper.

So how do you get it??!!

Like anything you have to decide you want something bad enough that you are willing to change. If the only time you have to train is before dawn set the alarm and mentally tell yourself you WILL get up. Don’t hit the snooze button-jump your ass outta bed and get it done. Day 1 will be hard but by day 10 you have a new habit and chances are your internal alarm will wake you up before the buzzer goes off.

Stop listening to that devil person inside of you that will give you every excuse not to do the thing you should be doing. Of course it’s easier to sit on the couch and watch TV, eat the donut or stay inside cause its warmer, but doing those things won’t get that paper written or your stomach flatter. That devil person wants you dead!

You have to figure out what motivates you. Maybe its quotes:
Discipline weighs ounces, regret weighs tons. ~Author Unknown

Personally I like pics, they silence that inner demon and force me to drag my butt out of the warm bed. Why? Cause who wouldn’t want a butt like these:
