Get off my chest-Benching SpongeBob Style!!

I used to love bench days…that is until I realized I was doing it wrong. Before I benched “bodybuilding” style…Elbows flared and bar placement across the top of the chest not utilizing any leg drive etc. etc. Basically my technique sucked ass-it still does but I’m working on it!

I really miss the days when I didn’t think so much. You know when you just walked in layed on the bench put your feet up and just started pressing. Don’t think just do and hope it happens…maybe even follow it up with an awesome crab pose for the ultimate muscle contraction!

Now I feel like I hear voices in my head-arch your back, shoulders down, lats tight, watch your wrists, use your total body…brain is in overdrive

Techinque for Tards.

I’m a visual learner, someone can tell me twenty times how to do something and for some reason it just doesn’t register in the ole cranium until I see it being done. Below are some of the best videos I’ve found that explain bench techique in laymans terms.

and of course Dave Tate from Elite…his video is much more colorful cause anyone who can use the word “fuck” 3 times in 5 seconds can explain anything!
